6TH ANNUAL BLACK FOOD & WINE EXPERIENCE®
Created by Chef Mimi, The Black Food & Wine Experience is an annual mission-driven week long event bridging food, beverage, education, health, and Black culture. Our mission is to provide a space where Black Food Culture can be explored by all.
The Grand Tasting – June 17, 2023 – 7-11 p.m. – San Francisco Ferry Building Sample the food, wine and cocktails of the African Diaspora at The Black Food & Wine Experience’s Grand Tasting in the famed San Francisco Ferry Building. Celebrate Black culture and excellence with your fellow foodies while tasting from celebrated and rising chefs and restaurants and winemakers and spirit purveyors. The event will feature limited availability wines, barrel samples and culinary concepts with incomparable flavor not to mention live entertainment and activations.
Post Grand Tasting After Party to follow: Location TBD (11 p.m.-1 a.m.)
Attire: Dress to Impress. Dresses, Suits & Sneaker, Come to slay with all-black, African attire or vibrant bold colors. Comfortable footwear is strongly encouraged.
Food & Beverage Industry Summit – June 15, 2023 – 5-8 p.m. Join The Black Food & Wine Experience®for its second annual industry summit aimed at supporting BIPOC Food & Beverage entrepreneurs to create the next generation of hospitality leaders through professional development. The Summit will led by Colleen Vincent, Vice President of Community for the James Beard Foundation. This industry educational event will feature panel discussions addressing topics ranging from access to entry and funding, business resources, and storytelling about navigating the hospitality industry. The event will also offer opportunities for community building and recruitment.
